Ñandutí is a traditional Paraguayan/Guaraní embroidered lace. The name means "spider’s white” or “spider’s web” in Guaraní, the indigenous language of Paraguay. Ñandutí was/is historically made by Paraguayan women and femme people who lived in the countryside and incorporated geometric designs and patterns based off of what they interacted with in their rural life. The pattern in the middle is called “Jatevu”, which translates to cattle tick.
